  Real shame, having been here several times over the years and enjoying it, we've had a really disappointing meal here today. Ran out of everything we ordered, what we did eventually get (on third attempt) was just not great at all. Service has been confusing for some time, table service but not enough staff to cope so have to keep going to the bar. Then get told to sit and they'll come to you, but don't notice without you shouting to get attention. Need some service and food quality improvements!! Quick!!

  Edited on 15/05/2017 - I have been here on a regular basis and previously they have always taken pride in their food, however that is no longer the case. The food was exceptionally poor, ordered chicken and stake combo and the chicken was HALF the size of my palm (photo attached). The stake was tough and the "twice cooked chips" has to be a lie, they were old, oily fried chips that were haggered chippy chips. This has to be the worst pub food I have eaten in a very long time which is a shame as the pub used to be classed as one of the best in Stockport, unfortunately that is clearly no longer the case, won't be eating here again.

  Couldn't of done more for us. A large party dining. We had the downstairs room with bar and outside terrace. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Laura was fantastic in ensuring the evening went smoothly. The food arrived piping hot and was delicious. Also a massive thankyou to Pauline the manageress for setting the room out so beautifully. Pauline was so helpful. She certainly went out of her way for us.

  Had such an incredible meal here at The Midway. Not only was the food at such a brilliant standard the staff were very helpful and made our evening and experience to remember! Looking forward to the next visit.
